As interesting as this story is to those of us who actually care about the Church's teaching, my suspicion is that the story will only have important political impact if some member of the media asks for Sen. Biden's views on it.
One would expect the Obama campaign to be working on an answer for Sen. Biden that might deflect some of the criticism, but given their track record I wouldn't bet that they would have an effective response in the can for him.
Here's the question; who in the media will confront Sen. Biden with this issue?

The hammer drops tomorrow when Abp. N' responds in SF. The issue will survive through the weekend news cycle, and if the response is what it should be, maybe even longer.
