Praise God! I have read most of Spe Salve already. Very impressive. One thing I noticed. In the fifty paragraphs, the Holy Father uses the word 'new', 'renew', or 'anew' a total of sixty-one times. It shows how closely hope is linked to beginning again with God. Moreover, how appropriate and providential for us, as we begin this NEW liturgical year. 'Beginning anew' will be my theme for my homily this weekend's first Sunday of Advent in which I will also refernce and cite Spe Salvi.
