Sure he wasnt a very good Catholic, one could say, but does that suddenly not count? Neither was Kennedy.

Mario Cuomo - if he's the best we've come up with in decades we might as well throw in the towel. I'm marching today in the local protest of Roe v. Wade in large part because of him. A pox on the name of Cuomo. I think his son is a lackey of the truly terrifying Spitzer here in New York. Catholics? HA!

I still sport my (authentic, not a replica) "Alfred Smith for President" button on election days. Just to remind folks that a real Catholic did run for president. Once.
