Thomas! you goofed ... Barbara is George H.W. Bush's wife. Nancy must be a reference to Ronald Reagan's wife!

If you really want to get on that list of ecclesiastical dignitaries greeting a Pope, I would highly recommend beginning studies for the priesthood, as each of the men on the list you presented have received the Sacrament of Holy Orders. It would be a start in the right direction, if it is God's will for you to be on such a delegation.
BTW, saw your comments on NBC in re the response of Catholic youth to the Holy Father. You are articulate and faithful, two qualities the Church is seeking in its priests. Nudge, nudge.
Lots of us are praying for your vocation, Thomas: more than you think.

Interesting line-up to greet the Holy Father. Conspicuous by his absence is the retired Archbishop of Washington, Theodore Cardinal McCarrick

Do you think the Holy Father's first words to Cardinal George were "Get rid of that "Father" Pfleger!!????

Maybe they thought Pelosi was Bush's wife. They bicker enough.

To Father Brian:
I agree that Thomas would make a wonderful priest. However, I must admit, I thought he would make a wonderful husband for my daughter!:)
