Tom: It's notable for its absences.
Yeah, like justice and peace for the millions of unborn here in the US.

When JPII visited the US during her hubby's tenure, if I recall the Holy Father's public references to the defense of life made the Clintons mighty uncomfortable.
You don't think she's sweating why Pope Benedict might say?

What no mentioned of his defense of life at all stages, especially the unborn, silly Hillary, you should know better. It sounds like the stereotypical political greeting the Pope will hear over and over in this country.

Actually, the Vatican has released statements that are highly dubious of the global warming cult, describing it as such.

I highly doubt she wrote that. But hey, we cannot give up on anyone, right? God does not give up on us, so why should we on others ... Maybe she will have a conversion... We can surely HOPE for that! :0)

I am more put off by the use of "impactful" than the conspicuous absences from her comments. The distinct lack of anything positive about the moral teachings of the church is not surprising. The George Bush school of speech writing?

I find it vaguely interesting that the then Cardinal Ratzinger referred to Hillary Clinton in the book/interview, The Salt of the Earth. Something about turning off the television.

This calls to mind the disgusting "use" of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta in one of her ads, last year.

Wow, talk about a cookie-cutter statement. They must have a neat little computer program that generates this kind of crap.

This reeks of the same artificiality as white suburbanite teachers trying to talk "ghetto" to a class of teenagers.
"Meow," the dog said to the cat.
"What kind of a fool are you?" the cat replied.

Here's an even better one... Pelosi kissing the ring of The Holy Father...
Generally that indicates fidelity and love of Holy Mother Church, respect and fidelity to Her principles, and filial devotion to The Pope...
Hmmm... I guess someone forgot to tell her... but it'll make a nice shot for promo purposes.

But that is what he can be praised for by Sen. Clinton?

I'm with you, Melody..."IMPACTFUL"??!!
(Yes, children, you, too, can grow up to be a possible President of the United States without learning all that yucky grammar and vocabulary stuff)
And the look on President Bush's face in that Pelosi picture is priceless...
