Gravatar I like Alan Keyes - and used to like him even more before he went a little loco during his 2004 Senate run. Heck, I even drove in the middle of the night from Atlanta to New Orleans to help him out for the caucus.

But do we need to be adding more people - especially people who have no chance at all - to an already crowded debate field?

Gravatar And yes, I'm biased, but Thompson is kicking this debate's, err, posterior. Great moment on the stupid hand-raising thing.

Gravatar I think Thompson was right-on for refusing the hand-raising thing because it demeans the candidates by making them look stupid and childish and it also is a TV trick to try to dumb-down the debate (just when you thought TV could not get any lower).

I too think Hillary will win the overall nomination despite her dip in the polls but I also think that in doing whatever it takes to beat Obama, she will disenfranchise much of the democratic power base by this unabashed power play.
