Gravatar Those brought back memories of my trips to Rome, well at least the Churches in Rome did, as I think I managed to see most of the ones featured. ;)

Gravatar That church is actually right next to the Pantheon and to the left of the alter is a statue of Jesus by Michelangelo. Very Beautiful!

Gravatar isn't the head of St. Catherine of Siena there?

Gravatar Ah-brings back memories of my four trips to Rome in the 1970s and 1980s.

I remember that obelisk in front with the elephants-looks kind of grungy now....

Wish I could go back....

Gravatar Hmmm... when was San Pietro in Vincoli raised to the status of Catheral of Rome, thus replacing San Giovanni in Laterano, and when was the Basilica of Sant'Agnese Fuori le Mura (literally "Saint Agnes outside the walls") magically transfered to the very center of Rome at Piazza Navona and decorated in the Baroque style? I think the site needs to brush up on their history and just a bit!
