I know it's too early to tell, but Daniel Craig might be the Bond ever after just one movie. Casino Royale was awesome.
I would bet, though, that his point that a lot of people criticizing these books have never read them has a lot of validity.

At least Craig didn't say, as some in Hollywood do, "I hope this movie exposes the fraud, and brings down the Catholic Church once and for all."

It's irresponsible to make a comment like that. "Any child must read this." Do you suppose he's read it or only watched the movie?

Does Craig just open his mouth and pray that something rational comes out of it?

I liked Casino Royale too, Nathan.
I wonder if HE has every read any of the books or just the script he was given. The morals "are solid and really good?" Not from what I've heard. I'll be honest and admit I haven't read them.

"They sell Dan Brown now in the Vatican"
Is he for real?! Mabye a book store in Rome or a street vendor, but not the Holy See.

I've read both Brown and Pullman. Brown gets all the facts wrong tho he does write an exciting story. The Pullman books start out well enough, but turn increasingly confusing and I just gave up on the morals. Brown's crazy "helicopter jump" makes more sense than the climax of Golden Spyglass.
Maybe Pullman was confused by the Brown-based TOURs?

You and Kevin both raise an important question. I've questioned if those critical of the book have read it, and likewise, those supportive of the book better have read it, too, rather than, as you say, work off the script given. I haven't read the book myself, so I'm not willing to pass judgment on it one way or the other.

Yep, this is the same actor who said he wanted a "gay" scene in the next Bond movie... not exactly a moral compass for our age.
