Let us pray this conversion comes with a repudiation of his support of abortion and homosexual "rights" in as public a forum as his original support.

This has been a public discussion in GB for months now, ever since Gordon Brown stepped in as PM as a matter of fact. I personally have thought such reports to be questionable given Blair's record on abortion. Then again, when was the last time anyone spoke to an Italian/French/Western European "Catholic" who was pro-life and not a clergyman or a member of a religious order? Perhaps my cynical spidey-sense doth tingle too easily. In any event, I do sincerely hope and pray that this story is, in fact, accurate. The world needs more public witnesses to the faith.

Tony Blair cannot come into the Church quickly enough to satisfy me. Granted, I would say that about anybody, but I am saying it about Tony Blair.

I'm curious whether these recent conversion stories out of Britain part of something larger that is happening there, or are they merely anecdotes?
Anybody got a handle on that?
