I thought it was okay. It wears its heart on its sleeve, and the Catholic family depicted is just a little too "perfect" to win over the hearts of cynics.

At any rate, I hope for more films attempting to put forward the same messages, and succeed in terms of storytelling where Bella falls short.

Gravatar I thought the movie was awesome. Yes, I could agree that the family seemed too perfect but I think the overall message was believable enough. Plus it was a beautiful story in the sense that I think it helps people to be able to authentically feel the difficulties of life. It did not compromise the difficulty of the decision to choose life, yet also emphasized that abortion is never a good option for women.

Gravatar Anyone who wants to support this great film should try to go this weekend as well and encourage friends to go. The theaters really look at the first two weekends' revenues to determine whether to keep and/or pick up the movie for future weeks. So keep up the good work, and check out the film if you haven't seen it yet!

Gravatar For these first-time directors/writers/filmmakers...this movie is good. Not great, not the best movie of all time, but pretty darn good. The acting is fabulous. The flaws do not take away from the beautiful story. Please go see this movie and remember that life is precious!!! I came away feeling inspired and happy. Plus it made me miss New York. And bravo to these fine young men for wanting to start a new trend in Hollywood. We need one. Badly. We should support them and pray for their continued success.

Gravatar The critics over at Rotten Tomatoes have given Bella a 38% rating right now.

But don't let that stop you - the non-critics have given it a 97% rating.

I wonder if that says anything about the kind of movies critics like, and the kind that normal people like?
