The administraton of my alma mater is showing about as much maturity as would a group of chidlren who, when the adults aren't present (recall, Abp. Burke is far away now) think they can get away with anything.

I wonder how many of SLU's Catholic alums will still send annual contributions to their alma mater when it supports an intrinsic evil. Pathetic. I hope Archbishop Burke sends a thunderbolt from Rome and excommunicates the University president who is clearly no longer a Catholic. Tom
Howard Dean is a doctor and an Episcopalian. Abortions performed by doctors to save the life of a mother have always been legal in the United State, regardless of the term of the pregnancy. They have never been sanctioned by the Church, regardless of the threat to the mother's health. It is an insult to Catholic women, who have chosen the life of their unborn child over their own, to imply that "legality" has ever been an issue.
