Saturday night the skies were clear driving back from Thanksgiving visiting family--the moon and planets were lovely then!

It is a pretty awesome sight. I felt like one of the Three Kings witnessing a cosmic sign.

I saw it on my way home last night!
Whenever I see a crescent moon, I call it 'an Immaculate Conception moon', in reference to the verse in Revelation, "The moon was under her feet"...and the Marian paintings of Murillo.
What can I say....

My wife and I saw this while driving down a road in Austria on the night in question. We thought maybe the Turks were coming. Really though, it was a beautiful sight, and thanks for the heads up (even though I'm getting it late).
