There are some unresolved mysteries in the new by hypothetical procedure know as ANT-OAR, Altered Nuclear Transfer (ANT) and Oocyte Assisted Reprogramming. Some Catholic moralists suggest it produces a disabled embryo, others suggest it is more of a teratona, or tumor and not an individual due to issues of gene substituion at inception.
The periodical "Communio" has several articles as had "First Things" with different opinions.
All reputable experts thing neither ESCR nor ANT-OAR will be used for the development of medical treatments in the mid-future, if ever; but the advocates of ANT-OAR suggest that this can be a way for studing embryogenesis. These advocates know that this will never satisfy the advocates of ESCR.
There is something fascinating about ESCR in spite of the dirth of practical results; and many are astute enough to sense the fascination but not astute enough to understand the motive for the fascination is the ancient pagan allure of human sacrifice.
