Three cheers for Phill Kline! I'm from Overland Park, and the media, etc. have vilified Kline since this began. Kudos to him for sticking to his guns in the face of all the animus directed at him. I do find it ironic that the Republican-turned-Democrat elected to replace him as Kansas Atty. General was recently forced to resign due to an adulterous(?) affair with a woman in his office. I wonder if anyone is trying anything similar elsewhere in the country...

I'll be honest. I don't care for Kline. The overwhelming majority of Kansans didn't, either, as he got trounced by Morrison in '06. The GOP in the state is in disarray. A Democrat winning the governorship twice in a row in a strongly conservative state is indicative of that. I think it will take a congressman (Jerry Moran) to return from Washington in two years to win the governor's office back for the GOP.

Finally! A DA with a backbone! I hope Phill Kline will do as much as possible for the unborn while he's in his position.

Nathan,
People dislike Kline because the local liberal papers are trashing him to no end. One barely heard a peep out of the Star concerning Morrison.
It has little to do with Kline, but with those who hate him. The Kansas Country Club Republicans aren't pro-life, so it's not surprising that they support the Democrat Governor.
