Is that the real cover of his book? How is it that he hasn't been sued by SCI-FI
or MGM for an obvious ripoff of both the movie and the tv shows?

RM, he was probably contracted to write it. It's the same kind of thing that Starwars does with all its spinoff book series.

Hmm... maybe, but it doesn't look like a spinoff of the actualy SG series, as they don't really deal with the Bible at all in the shows. It's mostly centered around Egyptian folklore... I doubt this book would be affiliated, as it would probably drive viewers like myself from the series.
That said, there are "higher life forms" in SG, but they aren't really angels or demons as they seem to be portrayed here. It's like he's reading the Bible and interpreting it via Stargate fiction. (Kinda like taking Star Wars lore and the "Force" as Gospel and then trying to make the Bible fit into it.)
In any event, he's obviously trying to associate his er... "work"... with the TV show. Whether or not it's licensed fanfiction remains to be seen.

I have to agree with RM - this doesn't look like a tie-in novel with the tv series, more like a rip-off.
Which means that beings even more fearsomely destructive and terrifying than the Nephilim will descend upon the author to rip his flesh and gorge upon his liver - network lawyers!!!! ;-)

I guess I was wrong. I'm not a big sci-fi fan so I guess if the publisher's intent was to fool average people into thinking this was related to Stargate series it worked.

I read in a Scott Hahn book that the Nephilim were offspring from the "sons of man" meaning Shem's line and the "daughters of men" Cain's line. They became men of renown.

I don't think this is supposed to be considered fiction . . .

And where else can you see a fawning advertisement for the DVD titled "The Forbidden Book: The History of the English Bible," a staunch anti-Catholic diatribe. I have noticed several anti-Catholic pieces in WND lately.
