Gravatar What about the Archdiocese of Louisville? (originally, Bardstown, founded in 1808) -- hopefully with a new Archbishop like Nienstedt. Kelly has submitted his resignation, and we're more than ready to bid farewell to him and to welcome Benedict and his new man (a Legionnaiare or Opus Dei man would be just what the Doctor ordered). How about a Papal visit to the Abbey of Gethsemani to reclaim it for true Benedictine work, from the idolatry of Merton?

Louisville is, in many ways, the epicenter of the Americanist Catholic Chernobyl. After 40 years of neglect and ruin, I think it deserves some Papal attention. (Not to mention the city hosts the premiere seminary of the Southern Baptist Convention -- a seminary that has addressed forthrightly, by its own Creationist and Intelligent Design lights, the issues of faith and reason that are so close to the heart of the Holy Father.)

Please come to Louisville, Holy Father. We need a revival. Deus vult!

Gravatar Thomas, according to Holy Father (source: Miloslav cardinal Vlk, archbishop of Prague) trip to Czech republic is planned, but exactly term isn't fixed. It won't be in 2007, but maybe in 2008.

Gravatar Oh, I really, really hope he comes to Puerto Rico! *crosses fingers*

Just wait, he'll come, but it'll be when I'm studying abroad...
