That is a long time for that trip to Australia. His plane MUST stop somewhere in Asia because a 777-200ER cannot make it to Sydney from Rome nonstop. The Pope definetly should visit the Philippines or at least somewhere else in Asia. He cannot snub Asia by sitting on plane while it refuels. I know he is 81 but he is already going to Australia and his plane MUST stop in Asia, so I think he is obligated to spend a couple days there. Judging by those dates, if they are accurate, that has to be in the plans. Has anyone heard anything?
