Gravatar So...have there been any pro-life appointments?

Gravatar It's been the weirdest thing, trying to keep liberals from exterminating themselves; it doesn't look like we're going to be able to stop them policywise until they've succeeded enough that we can start winning elections again. I wonder what would happen if we all start supporting the "Liberal Eradication Plan: Contraception, Dissection of Embryonic Liberals, Abortion of Fetal Liberals, Same-Sex Marriage for Fertile Liberals, and Pulling the Plug on Old Liberals. So that America won't be punished with more Obamas".

Gravatar Jeannette-

Culture of Death indeed!!

Gravatar The more things 'change', the more they stay the same?????

Same ol' liberals.....

Gravatar Thomas - I'm a anti-abortion conservative who happens to work in the federal bureaucracy. I appreciate your good political coverage from the orthodox Catholic perspective. While it is certainly concerning for abortion opponents that President-elect Obama has appointed an EMILY's List veteran as his communications director, for example, it is somewhat irrelevant, I think, that Bill Richardson is pro-abortion rights. I'm as certain as I can be without being inside the transition team that President-elect Obama will not being nominating Gov. Richardson for Secretary of Commerce because of his abortion stance. I'm even more certain that as Secretary of Commerce, Gov. Richardson would have ZERO to do with abortion rights one way or another. My point is, for positions where abortion rights aren't really relevant, I think we do a disservice to the anti-abortion cause when we focus on the views of potential appointees on this topic.

Keep up the good work.

Gravatar To clarify even further, there are plenty of very good reasons for the anti-abortion movement to be concerned about an Obama presidency. That the Secretaries of Interior, Commerce, and Homeland Security might be on record with pro-abortion rights views strikes me as far down on the list of such reasons to be concerned.

Gravatar Stealing a Mark Shea line:

In other news, water found to be wet.

Gravatar The list is missing a rather obvious name: his vice presidential choice Joe Biden!

Gravatar Mr. Caliva is right on target. Of course, young Mr. Peters rips apart the idea of Professor Kmiec being appointed to a post in the new Administration the American people elected, and then also bad-mouths the appointees listed above. I guess he has already decided the new Administration can do no good.

Well, far be it from me to suggest any change in the GOP strategy of attack everything. Hopefully, it will be as effective during the next four years as it was in the campaign.

Gravatar ANY pro-abortion person appointed by Obama is cause for concern. Each one
is an example of his pro-abortion worldview.

The GOP strategy of attack? How laughable. George Bush has been the subject of nothing but attacks by democrats since 2000.

Was "young" Mr. Peters supposed to be some kind of put down, Kate? You are so good at dishing them out and not very good at taking them.

Remember your lie about David Duke supporting John McCain? When I challenged you with Duke's own statements about not supporting anyone you refused to correct your lie. I would suggest you should never point your finger at anyone else, Katherine.
