I have no idea whether the globe is warming in any serious way or if any warming is really caused by man. That said, I do tend to be a skeptic, primarily because of the attitude of the anti-Climate Change enthusiasts. After countless discussions with them, it is obvious to me that many of them are so invested they would be crushed if studies definitively proved (i) that man was not materially affecting global climate and (ii) future climate change will overall have benign consequences. In other words, they actually don't want such hypothetical good news. This is so perverse that I admit that I question somewhat the collective judgment of that entire crowd.
The phenomenon reminds me of the zealotry exhibited by many of the anti-smoking crowd. If a definitive study proved that second-hand smoke was harmless, literally millions of people would digest such happy news with alarm and anger. Weird.
And no, I'm not a smoker, with the exception of an occasional celebratory cigar.
yeah Jerry Rivers is known for his scientific acumen. Wow, now, thanks to Jerry's report I can drive my car all I want, hell, I'm going to go burn some plastic since all those scientists say that is so bad too, and who can trust the scientific process of peer review!
Why don't they tell us the good news!
