Why would it surprise you that Chris Matthews was "fair" to a maverick Republican with a recklessly anti-war position on Iraq?
Chris knows that the more support Dr. Paul gets, the better the chance that a liberal, pro-abortion Democrat wins the White House. Oh, and Catholics for Ron Paul is joined in supporting the doctor by Strippers for Ron Paul and other assorted wackos.
Thomas: I'm surprised because Chris Matthews did such things as mutter "Oh, god" during the debate in response to what RP was saying. Furthermore, Matthews has a history of being harsh to RP in person.
Paul: the fact that "assorted wackos" support ron paul might be a handy way for you to dismiss his actual platform, but that's hardly an argument in itself. Since when do 'Catholics for Condoms' mean anything to the Catholic Church?
