Perhaps before planning a Spring '08 trip to Boston, the Holy Father is waiting to see the outcome of the World Series . . .

It's important to keep in mind that no one, outside of those actually involved in the discussions, know as much as they think they know.
When a decision is made, it will be made public. This ponitificate is becoming known for playing its cards close to the vest.
How many times over the past 2 years have we been told "the universal indult is coming out tomorrow!" ?
We won't have to wait long to find out about the visit.

Dom --
If there's any chance that you folks in Boston can't handle a Papal visit and the Marathon in the same weekend - don't forget that we've got a lovely city fifty miles to the South that is, after all, named "Providence!"

I've read elsewhere that Boston might not be on the final list of stops. I believe that would be a huge mistake. A stop there and atonement for the sins of clergy abuse could, hopefully, close the book on that horrendous era. It would, at the very least, be the wise move to make in terms of public relations.
