Knees need exercise too, and this video is like a Denise Austin workout video for it.

I highly recommend a stiff drink before watching it.
I can't think of a better thing for the USCCB to do than to make a joint statement which condemns joining such groups such as Call to Action.
What these people do with the liturgy - distorting it, is precisely what they do with doctrine, law, and basic teachings.
Bishop Bruskewitz was the only one brave enough to take them on.
It's unfortunate we haven't had more bishops do the same in an effort to not only let these folks know how serious the matter is, but to serve as a warning to others who may think they are a valid choice of "Catholic" groups to join.
Some bishops have banned them quietly from diocesan property. They need to make it public so that others know to stay away. But, there doesn't seem to be a backbone, or there is some kind of misguided charity in play. In reality, the greatest act of charity could be precisely what Bishop Bruskewitz did.

So, where are the under-60 year olds in this congregation? Somehow the video struck me as sad and somewhat pathetic. And the Call to Action crowd thinks they're "relevant" to our age, etc...? That's all besides the demeaning of the Liturgy here. The real future, thankfully, will be very different from this travesty.

You know that smoke that was coming out of the censer? Well, it was NOT from burning incense.

I'd like to refer to this as "liturgical abuse," alas; it isn't even valid liturgy (check out the Eucharistic Prayer and benediction in the name of the "Creator, Redeemer, and Sanctifier). Sorry - invalid.
I think the "puppets" were meant to scare away the children, as I didn't see any at that (oh lets call it an) "Ecclesial gathering."
Did anybody else's soul throw up when they saw that video?

absolutly disgusting. The mass should never be done in such a way. Bishops, you should really be getting on this, and whatever bishop allowed it, needs his fellow brother bishops to talk to him. If he didn't know, he should do somethign about it right away. We can see where the 60's went wrong.

Darn. I thought I had seen it all. This just makes me want to throw up. Even Episcopalians do their "mass" better than this.

So where are the under-60 people at this relevant updated liturgy? Something about this video strikes me as sad and somewhat pathetic. I am thankful that the future of those under 65 looks better.

Maybe they're going to protest some Scientology later, and just got dressed up early.

I really have nothing to say that has not be said already except to add my voice. I must admit if this is the best that American Catholic left canproduce then they are in BIG trouble. They are really on life-support and someone should unplug them.

What a ridiculous display of irreverence. The only thing more silly than the giant puppets with dreadlocks were the dancers. This was not a mass. These people should be excommunicated!
