I'm in the Milwaukee archdiocese - it's tragic to see this happening, but thank God we have Archbishop Dolan now. I'm just sad he has to clean up this mess.
A lot of people "reserve websites" just to keep other people from grabbing the URLs and using them. If I were as... well-regarded... as Weakland, I'd grab a lot of 'em.
Not defending the man, but things are bad enough without taking a probably act of self-defense as a sign of pride.
And it's getting worse.
Now the A'dce seems to have "forgotten" to report CONFESSED abuse of minors to the civil authorities. See:

Then there's the news that Bps Cousins and Weakland knew ALL ABOUT a couple of the perps and sent them hither and yon, with the blessing of the Milwaukee D.A. (!!)
AND that the Arch'dce is being sued for fraud (!) b/c they placed the creeps in parish settings without (of course) telling anyone about their criminal ephebophiliac histories. (As noted, cryptically, in the financial statements of the Arc'dse.)
