Gravatar Perhaps the architect did a stint at the rehab center. It would certainly explain a lot.

Gravatar These people are like the patulous branches of a tree radiating with the probity of supposititious architecture which anticipates the soon-to-be first lunar Mass. You may not live to see it, but such a possibility may become probable once we leave earth to live on the moon. Haven't you seen that 1954 documentary that predicts flourishing colonies on the moon by 1985? Well, if you haven't then your critique of this Brazilian church is rooted in a lack of information and risks being misconstrued.

Gravatar As to your question of tepee or emperor's shuttle, I vote for the later. Granted, I'm a Star Wars nerd, but as I looked at that picture I kept waiting for the wings to unfold and it take off from Brazil/moon of Endor and bring Luke back to the Death Star. Unless Pope Benedict wants to save his father and become a Jedi, I don't think he should celebrate Mass there.

Gravatar I'm sorry, but "tepee" is still my first impression. Maybe it's an interstellar tepee? After all, the American Indians do have their traditions of the Thunderbird. It's vaguely cute, but looks for all the world like some kid hung a sheet from a pole, hard to be taken seriously as a church.

Gravatar The Emperor's Teepee has landed?
