Here's a little known fact: One of the outcomes of a vasectomy is post-vasectomy pain syndrome. This can be very debilitating. It turns out that one of the (not always sucessful) treatments for this is to reverse the vasectomy. It's possible that quite a few of the reversals the doctor is speaking of are done for this reason.

As a Protestant, I can live with vasectomies as a necessary evil--if nothing else, such things keep a man from propagating needlessly, and ANY child born outside a loving family is "needless". Go watch Maury Povich and "Are you my baby's daddy, part 5482" and you'll see what I mean.
Actually I am very surprised that that many men have been willing to get one at all.
To me, ANY man who persists in catting around does not deserve the blessing of children.
