What I always find funny about the liberal MSM is how they can irrationally believe simultaneously conflicting ideas at the same time (Orwell's doublethink).

For example:

1) They will believe that "rigid," conservative Pope Benedict in an act of desperation is going to Brazil because no one wants to be Catholic anymore (because of its "rigid" beliefs) and are turning to Evangelical Protestantism (a good thing).

At the *very same time*:

2) They will believe that "pastoral," "flexible" Pope Benedict is going to Brazil to shore up support for liberation theology Catholics (good people) who are braving the assault against American style Protestant Evangelicals (bad people like Bush) and to give support to the socialist governments in South America.

Liberals in the MSM will honestly believe both of the above at the same time, even though they are completely conflicting concepts. Everyone should read 1984 and Brave New World to understand where liberalism to taking us.
