Wish I could go, esp. since Castro resigned today, but I've got the flu AND my wife is in labor.

So what? He allows pro-abort politicians to receive Holy Communion! He refuses to protect our Lord! Show that you love our Lord with your deeds, your Excellency, then maybe it might be profitable to listen to your talks! Jesus says through St. John, " if you love me keep my commands"!

I lost interest in anything he had to say fifteen years ago, when I heard him say, on a catechetical video I was asked to use for a class: "God reveals Godself to us." And he talked that way throughout. Bleechh!
He has not merely been passive with regard to pro-abortion communicants. He published a lengthy, vapid, 3000-word article on the subject. He managed to say absolutely nothing in 3000 words, with a single exception: He proposed that there should be a committee of bishops with veto power over any bishop who might be tempted to announce that pro-abortion Catholics should not be receiving Communion.
Other statements made by Abp. Wuerl have been quoted, dissected, and exposed as sophistries, by Abp. Burke, in his article on the subject.
