There's no such thing as "norms of the Anglican Communion." That's part of the problem.

The Sudanese bishop is totally Anglican, though. All he wants is Robinson's resignation. Why doesn't he demand also an affirmation that there won't be more Robinson's in the future? And what about Robinson's present supporters? Is it that Robinson persists in being a bishop that's the problem, or that he was made a bishop in the first place?

Such a gelatinous church. Even the sanest of them is squishy.

Gravatar I'm a Catholic who has same-sex attraction and now, thanks be to God, lives a life apart from that sin and insanity. So I have a lot of experience with so-called "gay" activists.

The "gay" community, may God be merciful on them, is lead by some very narcissistic people. These are people who are free and have tremendous influence, yet they act is if they suffer more than anyone else in the world. They inflate their own problems into worldwide significance. And if you dare to say that it's a sin for a man to have sex with another man, you become in their eyes something like the Gestapo. The vanity and self-centeredness of "gay" men knows no bounds.

With that as the background, is it any wonder why this Robinson character won't resign? His presence is destroying the Anglican communion, yet he thinks this his little mission is more important than that. No doubt, he feels that he's the victim here, not the Anglican community as whole. The only sin that "gay" activists recognize is the "sin" of not falling on our knees to worship homosexuality.

Be aware, Catholics and other Christians! Satan wants to destroy the Church, and one step is for the Church to accept sin.

I am so glad that God granted me the grace to stop acting on my same-sex attraction. I've never known such peace and contentment.

Gravatar MarkF, a very poignant story. Thanks for sharing. I laughed when I read in the article that "the absent bishops, largely conservative church leaders." If there was truth in advertising the author would have said "the absent bishops, the only believing Christians." Yes, I like my version better. Tom
