Gravatar I recommend Cherry Coke Zero to everyone. It tastes really good. Of course, nothing beats regular Coke. And make sure you recycle your can or bottle.

Gravatar Animal Planet is featuring a similar cross promotion.

Gravatar Funny thing - I was on Fox News Live a couple of weeks ago discussing the movie The Golden Compass, and one of the panel people stated that the polar bears reminded them of the Coca Cola Bear. Additionally, National Geographic Kids, which states it is written for kids between 6-12 years of age, has a 2 page glossy ad/article promoting the movie in their December issue. (Funny the movie is rated PG 13!)

Gravatar AAMF, we are dropping National Geographic Kids. The p-c values being pushed there are off the charts.

Gravatar PS: Nathan, Cherry Coke is the work of the Devil.

Gravatar No, no. NEW Coke was the work of the Devil. I wasn't even old enough to drink it, but from all accounts from family members, it was truly the spawn of Satan. Cherry Coke, if sinful, has to be only a venial sin, right? :)

Gravatar Polar bears v. **Potential** to antagonize a faith (does any non-Catholic know what we're about, after all??).

People just don't care about Catholics. Ah, but dare we say publicly against Jews and Muslims.

I'm sick of this.

Pepsi's just gonna have to do it for me. Bye-bye cherry coke. :(

Gravatar One of my friends last year told me this story...

All the global warming hype was going around and at the same time he was getting sick of seeing the Coke bear at the movies. He wondered, "If global warming kills off the polar bears, will we be free of these annoying commercials?"

Later, it wouldn't snow in Iowa (where he is); at last the US caught Saddam, and lo and behold the next day it snowed. "Hey, Bush was right! Saddam was a weapon of mass destruction: he was causing global warming all along!"

I now hereby dissociate myself with these two jokes which are meant to have no basis in what anyone actually thinks on any issue but rather only to provide a laugh.

Gravatar Recalling, as I do, the notorious Geradiline Ferraro "Choice" ads for Pepsi way back, it's hard to drop Coke, but I shall.

Gravatar I wish I drank cola so I could boycott it. Curse you, healthy tendencie~~~~~s!!

As far as that response is concerned, I think it is interesting that Coke chose to respond with a bald-faced lie.

Gravatar Don't mind me...

Just walking through the combox...
