I wonder if the employees of Volvo at least get a plenary indulgence for that gift. Ew....might be considered buying an indulgence. Scrap that.

I'm reminded of that joke that ends "...he must be important, he's got the Pope drving for him!" Benedict does look like he wouldn't mind taking the Volvo for a spin through his beloved Bavaria, blasting out Favorite Hymns of 1699 on the CD player, hee hee.

Thomas, he received this car more than year ago...and it was used of his Valle d'Aosta moving. I belive his use limousine for driving round Rome.

The disadvantages to owning a car:
1. Gas prices
2. Insurance
3. GAS prices
4. Maintainace costs (oil changes new wipers etc.)
5. GAS PRICES
6. licence plate fees
7. GAS PRICES!!!!!!!!!!!
The advantage to owning a car, not depending on others & public transportation.
Like your father said, the Pope does have a full time job. However most of them don't come with free cars.
Besides, I've been trying to get elected pope since the time of Paul VI. So, getting a full time job might be easier. :)
