I'm not a big Carne Asada fan... and I'm still not sold on San Diego having the "best Mexican food"... I don't care how close it is to the border. I've had some wack food that was recommended by SD locals (not R.J. though... so I guess he's still got a chance to sell me on it)

If you still live in the bay area, I suggest Baldos which has two locations in Fairfield and Vacaville.

I personally think it's really good, but then again I've never tried them anywhere else.
