WOW! You seem to have no respect for anything that isn't "mainstream" medicine, when it comes to health care. I am a medical physician, educated and trained at a top school in the US. I also am a chiropractor, educated and trained at a top school. I have two B.S. degrees and a master's degree is Biophysics. I think you should review your facts on chiropractic care before you mouth off your opinions. Medicine, by nature, is 100 times more dangerous than chiropractic care. 1 in 750,000 manipulations have a side effect, whereas 1 in 3 medications have side effects. Chiropractic care does not have any proven documented cases of death from care. Physicians kill over 250,000 people a year and that is just direct causes, not including secondary causes of care. My chiropractic malpractice insurance is $764.00 a year, for 1 million dollars in coverage. My basic medical malpractice, without riders or my specialty is $14,000. This shows you who really is safe. I would never talk against either profession, but you are comparing apples to oranges. I went through both education programs in full. The basic sciences were harder in chiropractic school, mostly because they feel they have more to prove. All my teachers were PhD's or MDs. There were classes on surgical procedures and pharmacology. They are not taught these things, because they will not practice them. In med school I was not taught manipulation or rehab, but my license allows me to do it, isn't that odd? I guess when it is all said and done, your opinions are like they say.. like butt holes... everyone has one.

You're insane!
Have you never had your neck adjusted - or back or hips? It feels divine and 100% does help.
So what do you do when your shoulder comes out of socket? Manipulate back in right? Yep.
Hips go out all the time. And very easily go back in with an adjustment.
I am learning these techniques now as a naturopathic physician - yep - im that kindof quack also.
I invite you to bash me and my approach to medicine. The many I have helped already in clinic is a testament to alternative treatments.
Chiropractic is definitely effective.
I cannot believe you have a following here. What do you guys believe in? Drugs and surgery only??
Your life will be short.

If you think that asthma can't be cured you're totally wrong! I suffered for 13 years insurging the heaviest drugs on the market without any result. Just a few weeks ago I stumbled on an at first glance insignificant asthma information treatment site. As I already spend a fortune at doctors and physicians, I decided to give it a try. Oh boy, what a surprise. It only took me a little more than 3 weeks to discover I was breathing like every other normal human being again. Since I started with this treatment, I didn't had a single asthma attack! After 2 full moinths now, I even started to exercise again and my family just can't believe that I can keep up up with the other members of the soccer team. I'm so happy I just wanted to share this with all asthma sufferes that gave up all hope. Do yourself the biggest favour and give it a try! Benny. P.S. Life is beautiful!

very good blogger site!.
Do you know BBC News (14/09/2006) Acupuncture for low back pain is cost-effective and works, according to medical researchers. Two studies on bmj.com suggest a short course of acupuncture would benefit patients and healthcare providersThe cost is well below the threshold used by officials to decide whether the NHS can afford to fund a set treatment, they said. Up to 80% of UK residents experience back pain at some point in their lives, costing the NHS £480m a year.—(BBC News 14/09/2006)
And, What do you think about it? Something as follow:
Chinese acupuncture practitioner had almost been accused for website’s ads in Bristol
Dr Zhentong Han is a Chinese registered acupuncturist with twenty years of clinical experience. He is very popular among the patients in the area with outstanding technique. The appointments for him in the clinic in Bradford were always full, however, at Bristol, another place where he set up his business; there were troubles from the competitions in the same field.
It started at the acupunctural website of Dr Han(http://www.backachetherapy.co.uk), which occupied the NO.1 place in a international websites about acupuncture (http://www.passion-4.net/tables/Acupuncture.html)
. Because of the large number of patients attracted by this website which introduced traditional Chinese acupuncture for backache therapy, and top position in yahoo and google. it caught great attention of other businesses in the same field in a very short time. Some practitioner even registered company names using key words about acupuncture , and notified Dr Han and other practitioners to stop using the some key words for advertising the website. Or else they would probably be charged by the law.
Dr Han claimed that he regretted deeply for the matter, but he didn’t want to get involved in this legal dispute, for the purpose of having a website is not to score high on the network, but to have more patients understand the most veracious Chinese traditional acupunctural techniques through his website, so to help more patients get rid of the pain.

Fact - manipulation by a chiropractor can (and often does) hurt! i found one of the most effective ways to reduce neck and back pains without the need for expensive (and sometimes painful) manipulation is to be very particular about which kind of bed you sleep on.
After waking up, morning after morning with terrible back pain, i saught proffesional advice (without the treatement) and the broad unanimity was that my mattress was the reason for my continuing discomfort. So before receiving potentially expensive and painful treatment, research what it is you spend 8 hours a night lying down on!!
I found that orthapedic and memory foam mattress pices do not seem desirable at a first glance; but you will spend a lot of time with it, and it will benefit you immeasurably

I suffer from a lot of back pain due to a car accident when I was a child. When it happened I was in pain for a while but after I healed I had very little trouble until I was 15 and my muscles started to develop, I started getting a lot of lower back pain and have suffered with it ever since. That is until recently when I stumbled across memory foam mattresses. They adjust to the shape and weight of my body to support my back perfectly and let me sleep soundly. I can’t even imagine being able to sleep without my memory foam mattress anymore!

I am so sick of "quack busters" and the like. I had headaches for years. I took all drugs imaginable and nothing helped. I even saw a physical therapist and that idiot "adjusted" my neck. now I know he had no clue to what he was doing. I FINALLY saw a chiropractic AGAINST my MD's advice. Guess what: Headache free for 6 years. Whose the quack. The MD prescribing the med that doesn't know the mechanism of that drug, physical therapist out of his scope, or the chiropractor that adjusted me and got me pain free. Physical therapist constantly bad mouth chiropractors, and in the same breath go to legislature to broaden their scope for adjustments. If they are going to bad mouth it then please do not try to encompass it in the scope. So who is the quack! Sure they are in every profession, even dentisry-i was ripped off, but really stop wasting your time by giving literature and data from 1969. Did you know MD's used to practice blood letting. Have you ever seen that instrument? Did you know viagra was meant as a heart drug, did you know the medical community is responsible for more deaths than chiropractors. Whose the quack. I go to my MD when I'm sick, need meds, or have babies. I go to my chiro when I hurt and I see my dentist when he's needed. Go bark up some other tree.
