` Aaaa haaaa h!! Cancer caused by bacteria??!?!

` Actually, it says 'virus'....

Of course cancer is not caused by bacteria. There are many theories.
The most clear and locical theory ist that there simply is an oxigen attack on the DNA. A different DNA (mutated)now gives the information for the next growing cell. Thatīs cancer.

` Technically, certain strains of the human papilloma virus can cause cervical cancer - hence the vaccine. But that's apparently because it causes lesions which damage DNA or something like that. But to say that parasites and viruses cause all cancer is just insane!

` Hey, Anne, I just proved reverse evolution! Those creationists better fire up their ignorance/ignoring engines!

Gravatar H. pylori, the bacterial cause of some GI ulcers has been linked to stomach cancer.

Gravatar Actually, it's not entirely true that bacteria don't cause cancer. Long term infection with H. pylori, for instance, has definitely been linked to stomach cancer and low grade gastric lymphomas.

Of course, this is nothing like the claims of the quacks.

Gravatar I think this topic is very different and there should be more pages like this,Your comment has a lot of truth to it, and I'd like to invite you to visit my page: 10/325- Vicoprofen - Lortab- Tylenol #3- Ativan All Major Medications are available right here at: http://www.crdrx.com

Gravatar ` Goddamn spammers!

Gravatar Desperate people would believe anything. That is why quacks thrive. I have similar posts exposing quacks:

Gravatar If modern medicine is so good, why do they fail to cure cancer? If my body is my property, how could anyone deny my spending my own money for an equally worthless "cure"? I don't want government or anyone else "helping" me. At 60, I'm a big kid now. If you want government in your business, well its your business.

Gravatar Interesting video. Thanks for the link. Toner

Gravatar A wide variety of cancers can be caused by infection with various bacteria and viruses and fungi.

In addition to H.pylori and stomach cancer, there is a clear link between molds, aflatoxins and liver cancer, and a probable link between chronic sinusitis and polyps and cancers of that area.

On the virus side, HIV is clearly linked to kaposi's sarcoma, while hepatitis B virus is a leading cause of liver cancer.

Even food antigens can cause cancer - look at the stats for people with celiac disease.

Truth is, a wide variety of pathogens cause the type of cell changes that can lead to cancer. Treating them may not cure the cancer after it is initiated and has progressed. But a 'science' blog should be more scientific. Sure, you want to slam the quacks. But you need to rise above their level to effectively do so.

Gravatar What an interesting idea.

Gravatar I don't always agree with you, but I see that you are objective in your
postings. Despite the differences I still enjoy reading your posts and I
often learn even when our viewpoints are different.

Gravatar If a thing causes chronic inflammation then a thing could cause cancer that is induced through chronic inflammation.

Gravatar Hi,

I just want to share the information that I have. Based on many researches that have been published, most of the research comes with this result;

25 to 35 percent of patients with cancer will develop depression.

Suffering from both a physical and psychological illness makes patients more ill and disabled. However, it has been proven that the signs of depression in cancerous patients may hard to be picked up since it is superimposed by the complication of the cancer itself.

What ever it is, what we need to do is to keep giving and show our support to them in order to improve life expectancy and increase the quality of life. We can do it!

Thank you.

Gravatar bacteria for cancer?
interesting..

cheers!

Gravatar This is a response to the question [which I've seen places besides here], "If modern medicine is so good, how come it hasn't cured cancer?"

1. We might try looking at this problem another way: modern medicine has done such a good job of curing things that, before the 20th century were death sentences - bacterial infections, diabetes come to mind immediately - that we have become conditioned to expect cures, and disappointed when encountering diseases we have yet to conquer.

2. Not only do no alternative treatments, or nonmedical techniques [e.g., prayer] not cure cancer, they don't cure anything else, either, except maybe imaginary illnesses.

Gravatar This sounds interesting Ann. There are different theories about causes of cancer. I think we should study this case carefully. right?
