Gravatar Hi. I promise to stop lurking on days without an R in them.

Gravatar Hi, Slinky! Nice to meetcha.

Gravatar I have been lurking for months. I enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work.

Gravatar I read you several times a day, tho I am an Agonista first and foremost

Gravatar Thank you, Dew!

So, Scott - first the Agony and then the Ecstasy? I'll take that.

Gravatar Not-so-silent but ever-so-loyal.

Gravatar Thank you, G.

Gravatar I can't remember if I've ever commented here before.

Gravatar Once or twice, I think. And it remains an honor to have the prime minister of Australia stop by.

Gravatar Haven't decided whether lurking or speaking is more therapeutic . . . it does my heart some good to know there are folks out there who share my fears, frustrations, and hopes.

And I like your garden, too. Though I'm like the gourmet who loves restaurants, but doesn't like to cook. Love gardens, but don't like pulling weeds.

Gravatar I comment semi-regularly, but this week I'll try to have something interesting to say.

Gravatar I frequently compose comments and then don't post.

Love your garden too. My unposted advice was give yourself another summer just to get an idea of what you've got.

Gravatar it does my heart some good to know there are folks out there who share my fears, frustrations, and hopes.

Me, too.

I frequently compose comments and then don't post.

Me, too. And main posts, too. Which is pretty scary, I guess, considering the swill that gets through sometimes, lol. Just how bad are those rejects?!

Gravatar Are we going back to gardening because I was just waiting for a chance to ask oddjob what I could plant in my almost always-in-shade, clay-and-rocks soil that wouldn't be deer bait. The only thing anyone ever suggests is myrtle.

Gravatar I lurk a lot and comment a little. This site is habit-forming and laugh- providing. I'm not as clever with words but I love to learn what others are thinking.

Gravatar I pop in once every day or two to catch up, which is not the best way to read or comment on blogs. Stale comments on old posts don't get read much.

Gravatar Ah Shak sis you've got it so right. But, on the plus side, being an Episcopalian I get only half the guilt. Remember that Episcos believe in the three d's, drinking, dancing, and divorcing. Try having a father and an uncle who are priests!

You do a great job, many thanks...S

Gravatar On another note, I agree with Lizzy. We bought our house last year and decided to give it a year to see what everything does and looks like before we make changes...S

Gravatar I'm not a exactly a lurker, but you know I love ya! You're probably my top verbal blog recommendation (as in "you like my blog? Well then you should also read ...")

Gravatar I started reading the blog a few weeks ago, and it looks unlikely that I'll stop. I seem to post more to philosophical blogs than political ones, but I may have a comment or two in future.

Gravatar Shakes, I love ya! I come by everyday, but I don't always have time to comment in my rush. Frickin' work. Hmmph. =(

Thou rulest.

Gravatar I'll lurk no more!

Gravatar they say the first step is admitting it, right?

my name is myrrhgirl, and i am a chronic lurker.

(in a select group of places.. *grin*)

Gravatar I wasn't lurking - I wasn't, I wasn't, I wasn't. I've been busy. I didn't even post on my own blog for two weeks. You can check.

Off topic: Hubby says the Burger King character is on the "Tonight" show right now. He creeps me out.

Gravatar Here all the time. But, your blog is intimidating...I feel foolish saying anything...because you've already said it so well and I wouldn't want your disdane. Weird eh? You are a blogger to look up to...in other words. I put the word out on you some time ago on my blog...we aren't worthy.

Gravatar Well, welcome to all the newly exposed lurkers - I'm glad to have you...even if you go right back to lurking!

Elise - Ditto here.

Sumo - Don't be intimidated! I'm a seriously geeky doofus through and through. I thought that would have been apparent by now.

CO - That Burger King guy creeps me out, too. Truly disturbing.

Gravatar That's a tough one, AndiF! Does your county Extension Agent have an office/telephone number in the phone book?

You might also try an online search, or check out gardenweb.com They have gardening forums & I can't imagine that this hasn't been discussed there many times already!

I don't know where you live, but if it's in the Northeast, sometimes mounatian laurel and rhododendrons contain toxins that cause deer to leave them alone until other stuff's been worked over, but on the other hand, my folks have mountain laurels against their house and this year the deer worked on them - until my mom decided to spray a deer repellent on them.
