How much did you get for the laptop? I know that you had mentioned that the buyer requested a discount for a broken CD drive. Nevertheless, even if you only got $600 or so, you can get three motherboards with decent CPUs and RAM for that price, if you're still looking for a new computer, though personally I'd tell you to just upgrade the processor and RAM in your current computer if that's what you're looking for.

Actually, only $530. By this point, I felt satisfied to get almost anything.

For the time being I'm not looking for a new computer, and judging from my sour past experience it's a good thing I don't have to!
