I remember having a conversation with two journalists once. Both agreed that they enjoyed reading letters to the editor that complained about their articles. It was a sign that their work was being read and that's important to any writer. Some of the comments show misunderstanding or lack of careful attention to your posts, but at least you have a readership. If they didn't respond, you would never know that.
