Gravatar Since tons of programs these days require the entire IE subsystem for god knows what (I mean, what does a CD burning app require IE for?), Microsoft couldn't let it be removed entirely. Well they could, but they didn't. And I do agree with you about activation. It sucks.

And I partly agree with you about bloat. But, this is probably the first version of Windows that is less bloated then it's predecessor.


Gravatar And on another note, they still have yet to fix the bug where you right click on the desktop, click on properties, and then select options pertaining to your desktop.

Gravatar Ideally, I'd like it if everything from the IE header to the entire subsystem to the shell itself could be added or removed via dialogue at will. Of course, in an ideal world Microsoft Corp. would have been broken up, the IE and Windows code would have been heired to separate spin-offs, and this would all be a moot point to begin with...
