Well, I guess you can say that I've been lucky. My experience a month ago was the only time that I've been truly sick in the past two years. There have been a few incidents with work (especially on Easter, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day) where I suffered from exhaustion after working my head off. Other times, I get severe allergies, and even though I'm not truly sick, I probably would worry some people of contagiousness if I did show up at school.
