The Andrew Turnbull Web Journal / The Idle Pen

Gravatar I've never extensively used Corel's office suite. Back in the Windows 3.1 days, I used a combination of Lotus AmiPro and (when it was released) Netscape Editor 3.04 for word processing and Lotus 1-2-3 for spreadsheets. I believe my father also had a VERY early version of Microsoft Project that ran on Windows 3.1.

My grandparents use Corel Suite8 on their Windows 2000 machine and Suite11 on the newer XP machine. I don't know why, but I still prefer Office to both of them.

I currently use Office 97 Small Business Edition, and I'm happy enough with it. I tried Office 2003 and Office XP for awhile, but it seems to me that they were a lot more than I really needed, so I went back to 97. My final version of Office will probably be 2000 if I ever find it.
