I usually try to remain calm, but have a natural tendency to side with the repressed, the underdog, in a conflict. I have used derogatory terms about The US government, about Tony Blair, indeed about anyone I thought was out of order, yet have only been pulled up for my anti-semitic remarks, which were anti-semitic, but aimed at Sharon and his government and members of the IDF.
Everyone else ignored my obviously heated rants. not the semites.
Somebody should point something out to the ones who have for so lng 'played the anti semitic card' for so long.
Perhaps, for example, that Palestinians are semites, too. Which by my reckoning means that many Jews/Israelis are anti- semites.

Anti semitism is a true 'no brainer'. It's been a very convient one too, for a long time.

Somewhere just sideways from how smart one is, is awareness, or its possibility anyway. This awareness addresses selfishness versus selflessness. It ain't about knowing the capital of Tajikistan. Zionism = Racism, plain and simple. Think about how long this has been going on.... the Old Testament is estimated to be, what from the late bronze age? Ever been a tourist to Israel? It's a non-stop propaganda piece, from beginning to end, with the constant rhetoric about persecution by the Arabs (heh, yeah...right), the constant threat they live under (never a mention of the ethnic cleansing they're constantly at work on), the nobility of the Jewish race (as opposed to...?) and it culminates in a trip to Masada, which is the most overblown bit of nationalistic theater that you'll ever be forced to experience, anywhere on the planet. Pick an Israeli Jew at random and start talking to him/her about the Arabs..... you'll be witness to the most heartfelt, uninhibited racism you've ever encountered. And these very people are the ones so devoid of self-awareness that they'll whine about anti-Semitic attitudes around the world (the Arabs as Semites? Don't be ridiculous!).
These people were the major motivating force behind the Iraq war (and our future mid-east wars) and it's a given at this point that they were either well aware of what was going to take place pre-9/11 or directed it outright. When I was a kid I bought the whole Israeli "underdog" image (depicted in "Exodus") and rooted for them. Having experienced Israel in the flesh, I'm a lot more informed now. Israeli racism needs to be exposed and condemned worldwide until a new generation of Jews arise free of their contempt for all non-Jews.

I love how Christians have a book that in the bit without Christ, god tells his people to kill the men, the women and the children and all the beasts, and in the bit with Christ, one is told that all men are equally beloved by god. Well, which is it? Christ was an heretical jew and was killed for it. What was his heresy exactly? Was the fact that he said Jews weren't special and that perhaps the killing of other men, women and children wasn't sanctioned by god, sufficiently heretical to warrant a death sentence? It's certainly argueable.
One of the early Christian churches called itself the 'catholic' church. This is a dictionary word meaning 'for all'. They didn't choose this name by accident. They named their church to differentiate themselves from where they'd come from and specifically to show that they were not an exclusive club. Anyone could join because god's grace were for all. Jewish people on the other hand don't wish for others to join their religion. As far as they're concerned god's graces shine solely on them and this ain't something one shares around.
In this regard Jewish people have something in common with white supremacists who decry white people interbreeding with coloureds. The irony runs rampant.
It beats me that the head of US Homeland Security can hold dual US/Israeli citizenship, even though he was born in the USA. Michael Chertoff chose to register for Israeli citizenship, and yet his loyalty to the USA goes unquestioned. UK nationals are not even ALLOWED to apply for the Green Card lottery (although Irish nationals can), and yet the UK is an ally in Iraq and Israel is not. How do Americans rationalise that?

In one Dvd I watched called "Why some people dislike Jews", it noted that antisemitism means "against favoritism for Jews". Yet another take on the loaded label! I agree, I am against favoritism to any one group, especially if they are using stolen monies to carry out mass murder.
