I like reading Maureen Dowd's column, and often some of their other regulars like Kristoff and Krugman, but now after all the paper's lying and suppressing vital stories and information they have the gall to charge for much of their on-line site. In the past I would've sucked it up, but they're the ones that have done the sucking so it's no subscription to nytimes.com for me.
