That is positively astounding. OTTAWA - The Supreme Court of Canada has voted unanimously to strike down a controversial federal procedure used to deport suspected terrorists as being a violation of life, liberty and security of the person.
The security certificate process is hopelessly flawed and must be redrafted by parliament to eliminate the extreme secrecy in which hearings to determine the reasonableness of certificates take place, the court said.
While carefully paying heed to fears of terrorism and the special difficulties of protecting national security, the court said that certain elements of fairness cannot be dispensed with -- including the right of a detainee to know the case against them and to make full answer and defence.
"While there is a risk of catastrophic acts of violence, it would be foolhardy to require a lengthy review process before a certificate should be issued," the court said.
However it said the various forms of review in which a designated lawyer is empowered to act on behalf of detainees could pass constitutional muster.
Writing for a unanimous court, Chief Justice Beverley McLachlin suspended the effects of the ruling for one year to give the Federal Government time to craft a new security certificate process. However, foreign nationals will benefit immediately from one aspect of the ruling which grants them a bail review within 48 hours of their first being detained -- a far shorter period than they must currently wait.
The court said that while federal court judges who conduct security certificate reviews do play an unusually active role in testing secret evidence, they are not unacceptably "co-opted" by the process. It said that there may always be some evidence that cannot be disclosed and must be heard in a secret hearing, yet that must be as minimal as possible.
"It may simply be so critical that it cannot be disclosed without risking national security," Chief Justice McLachlin wrote. "This is a reality of our modern world. If Section 7 is to be satisfied, either the person must be given the necessary information or a substantial substitute for the information must be found. Neither is the case here."
It said that the onus on governments to move quickly in a proceeding becomes greater with passing time. "Stringent release conditions . . . seriously limit individual liberty," the court added. "

Thailand is a very popular tourist destination for people from all over the world. I used to live there years ago and recently returned for a vacation. My Thai is passable. At one point during my vacation I hired a driver to take me to see a "Long-Neck" hill tribe village. The driver was a very congenial retired school teacher and he related to me that he really enjoyed his new work as he was able to meet so many nice people from around the world. Just out of curiousty I asked him "where are the worst tourists from"? I thought it might be the Russians but, no, it's the Israelis. Six people are on trial in Germany for burning copies of The Diary of Ann Frank. One suspect admitted to burning the book during his trial. I insist that the burden of proof is on the government's side, not our side.
This means that even though the investigations trying to come up with a plausible theory of what actually happened are welcome, there are two problems with them:
1) As lobro correctly says, this is music to the ears of disinfo agents and outright morons. Trying to present a theory that explains everything invites all sorts of outlandish claims, in effect confusing people and discrediting everybody. Worse of all, proving any suggested theory is difficult if not impossible (laser beam theory etc).
2) It also misdirects the effort to find out the truth. Remember, it is not up to us to prove what exactly brought the towers down. It is sufficient to prove SCIENTIFICALLY that the official government story CANNOT possibly be true.
That's why it is important to convince the people who can prove this, scientists and engineers, to examine the official story. All they have to do is apply the scientific method.
Once that happens, it will not be possible to resist a real investigation, and that's when so much evidence that is hidden and locked away will be accessed.
In my opinion, realising that the burden of proof is on the government gives us many advantages. For example:
1) The Towers: Instead of trying to prove what brought the towers down, insist on the government providing surviving material for scientific examination. Insist that if their story is true, then they shouldn't hide it or have to ship a great part of it to China within weeks. Since ground zero was indeed a crime scene, demanding examination of surviving material, steel etc, is indeed possible and more difficult for the government to resist now than immediately after 9-11.
2) Likewise with the Pentagon official story: Instead of coming up with theories on the type of missile that hit it, shift the burden of proof to the government: Demand the release of the videos of the Hotel across the street which had a panoramic view of the Pentagon, and the gas station video. Those locations were far enough to show exactly what hit the Pentagon. These videos cannot be doctored like the one released, which had only a few frames and still was too easy to disprove. Proximity is key here, the doctored one was intentionally too close. But the other ones were far enough to have captured what hit it clearly. As simple as that: Demand the release of the confiscated Pentagon videos.
3) Black boxes: Since the FBI still doesn't charge Bin Ladin with 9-11 because of lack of evidence, demand that the government proves its case by releasing the information on the black boxes, which record conversations in the cockpits, among other things. Shift the burden of proof to the government by saying: "You say it was Arabs with box cutters flying all those planes, release the info of the black boxes which would immediately prove that. Let's hear the conversations and read the transcripts."

Since it has all those bits of information that prove its case, like black boxes, videos, some remains of the towers etc, demand they release this information and evidence. Remember, it will much more difficult to resist doing so now than 5 years ago. Instead, what I'm seeing is too much time and effort being spent on the creation of theories, when all we have to do, again, is to simply shift the burden of proof to the American government.
To overcome government resistance we need public outrage. The catalyst for this could be a public scientific rebuttal of the official theory of what brought the towers down. Organise and fund a body of scientists and engineers of impeccable credentials to examine the official story. The rest will follow.

Actually I have been speaking to some Catholic Priest about "Israel" and its Khazar connection by recommending they read some material and Internet sites I gave them. I have known them for years and even though they were at first skeptical they now find it interesting reading.

Other inconsistencies pointing in that direction are:

The only good vantage point for observing the whole thing in progress would have been across Hudson in State Liberty Park, clear 2km across from WTC and that spot was occupied by "dancing Mossad" crew.
If (big IF), the jets were really racing down the whole length of Manhattan to slam into the towers, they would have seen and filmed the whole thing and FBI would have confiscated those movies ... get it? The answer to this puzzle is surely in FBI's hands.
Another reason (as I pointed out earlier) is that the Jews would have been able to identify and tag all those onlookers who may have inadvertendly witnessed the truth ... and must be silenced.
I think that was their primary job that day.
None of this would have been possible without wholesale complicity in the crime by media and FBI, at the highest levels of censorship and editorializing.
Another curious observation:
