Gravatar you gots it back to front xymph. Israeli realists up to and including the official top pig olmert agree it is better to leave assad in place than to try to install a puppet muslim brotherhood govt. I mean, ezxcuse me? We know Ledeen is into psychedelics but this is ridiculous.

Gravatar besides, when you say "Iran is hardly mentioned in the ‘Clean Break’ document", you ignore the fact that commentators from across the zionist political spectrum said repeatedly in Haaretz before the Iraq invasion that they regarded Iran as their only real threat.

Gravatar Ledeen, honestly ... this is a man who keeps battery-operated Darth Vader toys on his desk.

Gravatar Meanwhile, a certain lugubrious pleasure may be gained from this definitively bad attempt to enlist feminism in favour of global zionist fascism :
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/ tol...icle1593734.ece

Gravatar They probably spend some time under his desk as well.

Gravatar Don’t you think it obvious that a real calculated provocation would have with it a pre-planned media war against the Iranians?

In the case of the captive UK sailors, there was a pre-planned media campaign. Leading Hand Faye Turnley was interviewed only hours before capture by the Independent and by BBC TV. Smells like live bait to me.

Gravatar Is there anyone who still buys this feminists versus the mullahs crap?

Gravatar From The Times
March 31, 2007
What must Iran make of this free woman?

Janice Turner

They insisted that she conceal her fatigues with a white abaya, cover her hair with a hijab. It was with her soft voice and in her round, girlish handwriting that the apology for her country’s actions had to be made.
This war has a workaday military guise, but as the treatment of Leading Seaman Faye Turney shows, it is a collision between two irreconcilable civilisations. Its spoils are more than oil reserves, disputed waters or regional influence, but, at its very core, the right of dominion over women.

What a perplexing and alien creature Seaman Turney must appear to this Iranian regime. A young woman working close-knit with men, proud to perform her dangerous task of piloting speedboats as well as any one of them. A wife and mother, moreover, away from her small daughter, who has put military career before marital and maternal duties.

The Iranians were satisfied to have her 14 male comrades surrender as sailors or Marines: Seaman Turney had to surrender also as a woman. While the men were free to eat their pitta bread and lamb stew with weary resignation, she had to work out how best to appear adequately humble, grateful and submissive. She must submit not just to Iran’s military authority but its patriarchal might.

After all, here she stood, the end-product of 100 years of bitterly fought — and now mostly unacknowledged — Western female emancipation. In Britain our own reactionaries may finger-wag at the unnatural spectacle of a mother in a warzone, distracting our male warrior caste. One strain of feminism can question why womankind — Nature’s peacemakers, oh Mother Gaia! — would want to fight men’s wars, particularly this one.

While another might point out the sham of Seaman Turney’s equality: the sexual harassment endured by almost all women military personnel and their ban from the front line.

And the tiresome buzz of these debates can distract us from the wholly magnificent truth: the freedom of Seaman Turney and of all of us, our right to make choices — and mistakes — to fight, to study, to work, to stay home, to have children, to remain childless, to wear what the hell we like — whether basque or burka — to live unenslaved by our fertility, our fathers, our husbands, to have equal rights before the law.

Rowan, Why does this remind me of the Fleming Rose/ Daniel Pipes psy-op a year or so back, when the cartoonists portrayed Mahommed with a bomb in his turban?

That brought riots in the Moslam streets. They want the British Public to do likewise? Or however the British Public displays its indignation.

Gravatar Then there's the question about how free LS Turney really was to choose a military career. Was it the best of very few choices? Or was she a free spirit turning her back on her family, including tender three y.o. child, for a life at sea?

Somehow, one suspects it wasn't quite the latter. But one might be wrong.

Gravatar Furthermore, the military are finding that women in the combat zone, especially when captive, lend a certain piquancy to the ongoing narrative. Who can forget Saving Private Jessica Lynch?

Gravatar It's the lack of literary skill involved that gives them away...

Gravatar Which 'them' is that?

Gravatar It's not pulling at my heart strings. "unenslaved by our fertility" ...What the hell?

Gravatar Janice Turner in a basque? forgettaboutit

Gravatar "unenslaved by our fertility" might be the banner headline for Deadbeat Dads protesting to the Child Support Agency.

Gravatar "Feminism" has since the sixties been a trojan horse for US (anti)cultural imperialism. Today it's more obvious than ever: the media "feminism" is just another part of the disgusting global celebrity show which is named "the media". "Feminism" today = Britney Spears' tits etc. = commercials.

Gravatar In a way, the manner in which feminism has been dragged across the political spectrum from ultra-left to ultra-right confirms certain marxist warnings about the nature of ideology.

Gravatar "Russian military intelligence services are reporting a flurry of activity by U.S. Armed Forces near Iran's borders, a high-ranking security source said Tuesday.

"The latest military intelligence data point to heightened U.S. military preparations for both an air and ground operation against Iran," the official said, adding that the Pentagon has probably not yet made a final decision as to when an attack will be launched.

He said the Pentagon is looking for a way to deliver a strike against Iran "that would enable the Americans to bring the country to its knees at minimal cost."

He also said the U.S. Naval presence in the Persian Gulf has for the first time in the past four years reached the level that existed shortly before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.

Col.-Gen. Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, said last week that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future.

A new U.S. carrier battle group has been dispatched to the Gulf."

http://en.rian.ru/russia/2007032...7/ 62697703.html

"xymphora" demontrates again, by ignoring all these facts, that he/she/they is/are just one/some of the usual US disinformation agents.

Gravatar um, that Ivashov story has been around for a good few days, as has webster tarpley's story which is being widely ignored. It's "boy who cried wolf" time I suppose.

Gabriel Kolko on Syria here:

Gravatar Funny how "xymphora", while mentioning
PNAC from 1996 always avoids this document from 2000:

http:// www.newamericancentury.or...casDefenses.pdf

It was here, just a year ahead of 9-11, that the urgent need among the US leadership for "a new Pearl Harbour" was aired...

Gravatar "Nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz will sail April 2 to support U.S. operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. Navy said, amid a spike in tensions over Iran’s seizure of 15 British marines and sailors."

http://www.defensenews.com/story...62256& C=america

"This is no time for our clueless Government to be mothballing the Navy and cutting down the other services. For, at some stage, Iran’s lethal contempt for the rule of international law is going to mean war."

as usual...

Gravatar While on conspiracies ...

(BNN - March 30, 2007 - Marina del Rey, California) - The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers today recommended the creation of the .911 Top Level domain suffix (sTLD) by a vote of 13-1.

"We believe the explosive growth in 911 conspiracy sites justifies this action," a press release said.

Nicholas Hauptmann, the lone dissenter, suspected government pressure to isolate 9/11 Truth groups. "The government wants to herd us all under the .911 domain. Then one day agents will just delete the .911 domain. We'll be finished."

A survey of national 9/11 Truth groups echoed Hauptmann's fears

Comments on the JREF forum indicated True Skeptics' universal support for the ICANN recommendation.

"We're applying for our own domain," one commenter wrote. "We believe the most appropriate domain suffix for rational people against loony 9/11 conspiracy theories is '.NOT.'"

Gravatar The war issues are important and serious, but connected with them are now since the last couple of decades, even much more serious issues of the environment: the global warming catastrophe etc.

"A mysterious decimation of bee populations has German beekeepers worried, while a similar phenomenon in the United States is gradually assuming catastrophic proportions. The consequences for agriculture and the economy could be enormous.

Is the mysterious decimation of bee populations in the US and Germany a result of GM crops?"

http://www.zmag.org/content/show...56& ItemID=12435

It should be mentioned, that bees are necessary for at least one third of the food production needed by humans.

The productive forces of capitalism are turning into detructive forces.

Gravatar Interesting how Daryl Bradford Smith can tell us global warming is a hoax. Maybe he is getting a little wedgie from someone on this.

Gravatar DBS says he is sick, unspecified.

Gravatar America will need a war soon - it's a tactical and timing issue who will be the target. A MAJOR distraction is needed as the slide into the Grand Depression and Tribulation accelerates. The "subPrime" meltdown is just the beginning of financial chaos and the collapse of the financial house of cards (Global). Greenspan and Bernanke have not been laboring in vain in blowing their gigantic and deadly Credit bubble since the Crash of 2001, aided and abetted by Bush's Afghanistan/Iraq/Pentagon spending excesses as we rapidly approach the current $9Trillion Debt limit!

Iran is the most likely target, but Syria, Lebanon or even North Korea would fill the bill. In any case, 9/11 II will be needed to rally the Sheeple - it's part of the Zionist/Neocon MO.

Gravatar Still trying to parse this one "unenslaved by our fertility".

Would it be the same as "enslaved by our infertility"?

Gravatar creation of the .911 Top Level domain suffix

In the interest of equality, is there a domain for Holohoax Deniers?

lobro.hhx

Gravatar righteo, Janice Turney is either a Jew or giving head to them... this is absolute nonsense.

Gravatar righteo...this is nonsense. The woman was treated properly. She wasn't mistreated. this is nonsense.

Gravatar Ask the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

They may ask for parsing. Where do HoloHoax Deniers end and HoloHoax Affirmers begin?

Gravatar lobro, the feminist and pornographic Jews like it when we are enslaved by our infertility are happy that we are not producing babies.

Gravatar Salman, you've confounded the sisterhood with Janice Turner and Faye Turney.

Janice is trying to juice up the story for the Murdoch Press.

Gravatar Feminism per se, the theory goes, is unable to control its own drift across the political spectrum, because it is merely a politics of identity, and has no relation to anything outside of itself.

Gravatar female 'rights' a weapon to use in jewish attacks against arabs and islam. all for the purpose of 'the great isRAel'.

Gravatar They should resove it by a bagel baking contest ...

Gravatar well RB, at least give credit to Makow for exposing publicly the Jewish masterminding in the second and third wave feminism which was nothing more than a subtle way to destroy the family unit...and promote homosexuality as a normal lifestyle.

Gravatar Feminism changed laws which discriminated against women in divorces (hence the ire here?), disallowed marriage from creating a system in which husband's gained control of women's property and offspring.
To me, the problems are far less important than the benefits. Even young women who are "shrill" feminists basically simply buy time until they become middle-aged women in charge of their own fortunes. I can't complain, boys.

As for the whole plan for things like Clean Break (from earlier agreements and understandings), and the Project for a New American Century....

Well, "thar's mony a slip twixt cup and lip." "Anyone can summon the spirits, but will they come?" So even if there has been plotting, it doesn't necessarily work according to plan. The plans being as ambitious as they are, the more of them are implemented, the farther they get from controlling them. It is possible to see Iraq as indeed mission accomplished, but also possible to see it as a problem which keeps on growing and metastasizing.

As for Iran -- whatever the plotters wanted, eventually things are taken out of their hands by unintended consequences. And how would they ever have sold their plan if they talked about the possibilities of other nations getting involved which they never calculated?

At the moment, the tinderbox of history is full of fluffy fuel waiting for a spark. Any random act by any random actor on either "side" can set off things which the well-prepared public and the opinion poll-driven Bush and others will be forced to respond to (most likely with violence).

So wars of choice are foolish things. But wars of "necessity" are even dumber. The problem is the way a country is held together by false pride in militarism. I am very pessimistic. In spite of our trying to assign blame, and our attitude that the Coalition of the Willing (ever-shrinking) started this and because of the scheming of neocons, all try, in the end a World War will have a life of its own. Cigarette smoking may cause lung cancer, but when you are struggling with the disease, the tobacco industry is the last thing on your mind... So with world war caused by ... who cares.

Gravatar feminism is tool to wreck. the benefits from your perspective are a side effect and minimal compared to the destruction. especially the harm intended for arabs and muslims.

Gravatar no random acts. no random actors. "forced to respond" will be the acting. sorta like i was 'forced to get into bed with angelina'.

Gravatar Weird, righteo and musings.

I thought "Anyone can summon the spirits" sounded familiar (Shakespeare) so I googled. 1 hit - a 2002 analysis of ICANN - hmm.

Nice game, but although "the tinderbox of history is full of fluffy fuel waiting for a spark" there's not "two sides", there's just a bunch of gangs

Gravatar Res ipsa loquitur, archie. Whatever I muse about is my own work product....Can you guess what subject I studied?

Gravatar yeah, metastasizing is it

Gravatar musings is a jew lover

Gravatar So what's so amazing about the Iranians getting their hands on a few British sailors? I seem to recall that their allies, the US, have engineered several raids against Iranian "targets" in Iraq. It has detained Iranians, even kidnapped some diplomats, ransacked their offices, confiscated material, etc. Some of the Iranians may still be "detained".

Further, former UK Ambassador Craig Murray wrote on Juan Cole that "the Iran/Iraq border shown on the British Government map does not exist. . . Only Iraq and Iran can agree on a bilateral boundary and they have never done this in the Gulf, only on the land part. . ."
And since the Brits were closer to the Iranian landmass than to the Iraqi one, the Brits no doubt were in Iranian territory. Too bad the Iranians can't get their hands on Madam Condosleeza.

Gravatar Well, kassandra, this is not an equal opportunity game of snakes and ladders.

Gravatar here is the independent's april fools day story, rather obvious I fear:
http://news.independent.co.uk/ uk...icle2411405.ece

Gravatar righteo, don't know snakes and ladders, but I think Iran's equal opportunity possibilities are increasing.

Gravatar Whoever says global warming is a hoax, is so evidently contradicting the facts: faster and faster melting glaciers (you can travel around and look for yourself), warming oceans, stronger hurricanes, rising temperatures all over the globe etc. etc., that one must say it's more than ridiculous.

Fx. a lot of hunters on Greenland are no longer able to hunt on the sea-ice, simply because it's now gone in vast areas. Melting permafrost fx. make the coastlines in Alaska, Siberia and Northern Canada collapse. What people can see for themselves, fx. fishermen in their nets: mediterranean fishsorts like sardines taking over the North Sea, obviously can't be a hoax.

Also, extremely fast rising CO2 levels are disputed by noone who knows just a little about the subject. The measurements are many, from many different sources, and absolutely all point in the same direction. CO2 levels are by now far higher than they have been for at least 2,5 milion years, probably 30 million. The warming effect of CO2 is a physical fact, documented by numerous experiments and since two years also directly measured in the field - in Switzerland.

But of course: the oil, airline and car industries have huge money interests connected to the use of oil, and their promotors aren't normal human beings: they simply are mad, money-mad. If nescessary, they'll throw the whole globe away just to keep their bank accounts exploding with money.

Gravatar .hot

Gravatar "We believe the most appropriate domain suffix for rational people against loony 9/11 conspiracy theories is '.NOT.'"

Absolutely right.
A NORAD coincidence theory investigation could be far more productive. The prima facie evidence already exists. The chain of command was public knowledge and it's bizarre and macabre that the only time NORAD failed was the 1 day in 50 years that there was a real emergency.

Gravatar Until 9-11 the odds against NORAD being caught with its pants down were 18,250:1. And that's on a daily basis. If NORAD was a 24/7 operation, which I believe it was, then the odds against such a failure were in the order of 438,000:1 before 9-11.

Gravatar That story was actually a spoof aimed primarily at Nico Haupt:
http://911booger.blogspot.com/20...ain- suffix.html

Gravatar One would have to divide 438,000 by the number of 'failures to respond' which occured in any hour of any day before 9-11, to arrive at the true odds against. I haven't checked to see if there were any, but since NORAD was said to be transparent until 9-11 then any prior failures should be on the public record, together with the outcome of the inquiry...

Gravatar It sounded too good to be true...

Gravatar Couldn't have the govt saving all those misguided obsessive-compulsive amateurs from themselves, could we?

Gravatar CO2 levels have to be higher and O2 levels lower. fewer trees. trees 'inhale' co2 and 'exhale' o2. and other greens gone add to this effect.

norad did't fail with golfer payne stewart. in fact we were given a display of how wonderfully the country was protected as f-16's(?)escorted the dead golfer's plane across country ready to fire missiles if needed.

Gravatar Regarding global warming, they say that the Sun is too getting hotter, because icecaps on Mars are also melting.

Just humanity's rotten luck that exactly when they stuff up the planet, the Solar System also turns nasty-ish.

Gravatar I think that this argument seems a bit fishy - maybe it is true that 'the sun is getting warmer' but the magnitudes and timescales are completely different from the ones we are patently up against with e.g. our icecaps.

Gravatar I do not buy the fuck up theory for the Gulf of Tonkin / Shatt al Arab Street Theatre.

Premeditated, planned and well executed coat tail dragging - learnt probably with the Quorn to flush the cubs at the start of the season.

TB may look like a cunt to some people, but go in any UK saloon bar and hear the indignation how a bunch of fuzzy wuzzies had it over the Royal Navy.

Craig Murray may have put his finger on the elegant and classic diplomatic fandango necessary to release the smirky, smoking mum and her evidently cheerful colleagues. This is the last thing that TB (who now has dismissed the FCO from any role in Foreign Affairs by installing the dumb bonehead Blessed Margaret )wants, and hey Preston after a sutiable deay Dubya comes in describing these humiliated Jolly Jack Tars and TOmmy Atkins as "hostages" - a term that has especial resonance in Washington and points West.

This show will run and run ... Jack Straw will of course be stabbing at some crude doll that represents his ex specialist on Uzbek Cannibal Cookery - screaming no doubt, who will rid us of this turbulent priest ?

Just so long as he doesn't take long solitary walks in the countryside...

Gravatar the smirky, smoking mum...

-- bloody 'ell, we have another Taki in our midst.

Gravatar "Taki"--an acomplished Ninja: demon
hunteress, spy and blacksmith!

What a combination of abilities.
Faye doesn't seem too lady-like to me.
Especially with a cigarette in her mouth. She could play the role of an
FBI agent pretty well.

The stuff that turning off the bees:
Monsanto seeds, irridated. Monsanto,
an old Jewish-plantation owning family. Makers of Agent Orange.
.

It is interesting that the neo-lith/cons..especially hate trees and most of nature. Recall the chicken-flu...which gave every country in
Europe right to "cull" thousands of birds.

I read somewhere..will find it and most later as I dont have time now,
that within 100 years there will be
about 500,000 humans left on the planet. Probably little else.

Back to Mansanto, is it just that they are a government serving business and anything to make money goes or is there something deeper, as in the eradication of billions of people (and other forms of life),
leaving only the cons/Tribe to have it all. It will be a wasteland, bt what do they care.

Gravatar I like Taki's luxuriant prose, such as here:
http://www.takimag.com/site/arti..._was_a_spartan/

The an acomplished Ninja: demon
hunteress, spy and blacksmith
may be another one!

Gravatar Many tacy faces--one being Faye.
Wonder if she understands what real
trouble she is causing--

The site for the article on the number of people left in 100 years was Countercurrents.org. Still can't find the article but here are two appropraite for the bee keepers

here is Taki, "Soul Caliber"..

Just googleN Ninja chicks!

Gravatar I bettcha Ledeen plays with these while on acid.......

Anyway, they "prep" all our young to think war is a "game". They have been producing these for decades!
They are very sophisticated...all
warriors of some kind.

Gravatar A tendency to say things (and do things) that suggest a more than nodding acquaintance with LSD can be found not only in the truly dangerous Ledeen, but also in many of the Lubavitchers. This is because almost to a man the usian-jewish youth 'turned on, tuned in, and dropped out' from the 1960s onwards, and therefore throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s, incipient acid casualties would keep being sent by their parents to one or another of Lubavitch's free 'help' centres.

This in turn explains why the zionist settlers behave and look like sixties hippies.

Gravatar found yr taki:

For all of the people running around with massive swords and pole arms in the Soul Calibur series, Taki has always served as a nice contrast to this with her tiny ninjatou. With her darting around, jabbing opponents as openings appeared, it became obvious just how fast she is compared to many of the other characters in the series. Not only does she have an interesting repertoire of moves, but Taki also has one of the more involved background stories in the Soul Calibur universe, which has helped her to draw even more fans.
http://www.armchairempire.com/im...ninjas/ taki.jpg

Gravatar I don't think Tono's colleagues will play along with his pathetic attempt to start another war in order to hang on to office.

Gravatar Tono=Olmert?
He looks like Tuna ... a major slip on part of the electorate, so lacking in par-for-the-course cunning that his ancestry is called into question, was he adopted or switched?
