Actually, in response to the question, the Forward ran TWO editorials, one questioning Obama and the other saying let's give him a fair shake. Presumably, they didn't want to tie their hands too soon in case he actually started to look like winning. Then, in the meantime, they would extract a few promises from Obama. Tony, thanks for mentioning David Sloan Wilson. You mentioned him in a previous post. I have yet to search my notes, but a few years back I think it was he who delivered a public lecture that I attended in which he very much discussed group selection in a way that parallels Kevin MacDonald. His examples were religious groups such as Plymouth Brethren. His analysis however exactly paralleled MacDonald. What was eerie, which I noticed without quite knowing what was going on, was at the back of the hall was a large claque who were auditing his talk and at whom he was casting many numerous anxious glances. I now suppose these were the local jewish thought police who may have expected him to do a Kevin MacDonald. He didn't, but there was palpable tension in the room. I could be wrong about the identities at the back of the room, but there was something unstated going on, and at times this guy was sweating bullets. Weird. I think I am right about who were the back seat boyz'n'galz. If I knew then what I know now I would have taken a long hard second look.
