Fetzer has other things to say apart from space beams. He came to 9/11 skepticism late, not much he says is all that original, but he does often say it well. But my objection to Fetzer's Zapruder theory are three:
(1) As with his 911 theory, this requires the forgers to make intentionally bad forgeries so that he can prove them to be so. Why did they bother?
(2) There is no critical study online to monitor ANY of the claims made by Fetzer - or his moon landing photos attacking friend - to confirm that the photos presented by them are indeed the photos as found in the public archives and not modified or intentionally mid reproduced by them themselves as visual straw man arguments.
(3) At no point has he shown the slightest concern for accuracy in his own statements - I bet you anything he claims repeatedly in this Press Club talk that Judy Wood is the most highly qualified scientist in the relevant fields in the country.

There were official news reports that the fires were put out near Christmas 2001, that is, after three months, and that fire hoses pumped massive amounts of water over the debris for weeks on end. I haven't seen video of these alleged firehoses, and possibly they were for dust abatement if they were used.
The stories of molten steel under the WTC form a graphic image of great heat, and maybe -- maybe -- they are exaggerated. However, there was heat in abundance; I heard a public lecture by an fireman who was personally there a month later, and he emphasised how hot it was on site. I think he was truthful. So there is confirmable heat to be explained; molten steel is optional without confirmatory evidence, which Fetzer does point out.
There is that 'meteorite' object at the WTC museum somewhere which has fused concrete & steel rebar in an amorphous mess, which is one exhibit for unexplained heat. I take it as practically proved that the WTC rubble was inexplicably hot for weeks. What was the source of this heat? Jones says thermite, Ward says micronukes, Wood says DEWs. Well keep Wood there for completeness in enumerating possibilities, even if unlikely in the event. They all scream 'demolition'.
I say thermite/thermate. What I am questioning is whether such heat would have maintained metals above boiling point for any length of time.
There was one comment at a blog somewhere which made the incisive point that the official investigations NEVER mention demolitions even though everyone knows that evildoers tried to demolish WTC1 with explosives back in 1993. So why don't the official investigators mention the possibility of explosive demolition when there is a clear precedent for its attempted use by previous 'bad guys'? Well, why not mention it?
'Molten' is a very specific state, and as I've said, maybe optional for describing the horrible heat & fires at the WTC site. There is a photo of cherry red steel being hauled out of the rubble, which is a hot solid not molten steel. After all this time anecdotes of molten steel don't add to the real story of tremendous heat, unless there is a technical reason to require massive amounts of demonstrably molten steel (e.g. thermite turns steel into ponds of molten metal, so where were these ponds?) If thermite produces rivulets of liquid steel which then quickly harden (just guessing) then the anecdotes of masses of molten steel sloshing around, are just that, anecdotes. When a movie maker wants to tell this part of the story, she must use the available images that are concordant with what people are telling her. What else can she do? Forgettabout it? Draw her own pictures?
When a researcher such as Jones wants to justify spending his time on a project he uses public domain evidences that give him an a priori reason for doing his work. He has to explain what he's trying to do using what material is to hand. But his real objective is to obtain unique images and results that tell their own story, and these unique data will make the old images obsolete. Will the new data confirm the story behind the old pictures? Or will they refute the story?
This is the old question of 'What is truth'? Are Sofia or Jones telling untruths about WTC when they use public domain images of hot metal at the site? I don't think they are telling fundamental untruths, even if their specific items of evidence turn out to be -- maybe -- a bit dodgy, because there is ample other evidence already and perhaps forthcoming says yes, there was abundant heat at the WTC site. I've looked at the wufys article and, as usual, seek an alternative explanation for the spherules evidence. Lucky for you, my only initial doubt concerns the likelihood or not of a 1.5 mm sphere of iron being light enough to act as airborne 'dust'.
Also, one of the things I did check in the article was when the dust samples under review were gathered (9/14). In the body of the article an oxy-acetyline origin for the spherules is dismissed on chemical analysis as well as timescale grounds. As for Hoffman, to each their own. He's good on the WTC, but weak on anything with planes. Killtown is much better on planes. Rivero clings to the Pentagon Plane, whereas Xymphora doesn't but won't let the Towers be demolished. Lots of others to choose from. Eclectic subject.

It was THEIR job, not mine, to seek an alternative explanation for the 'spherules'. If you read the wufys text again paying attention to the reference to molybdenum temperature and its relevance to HYTEN, AND the wiki ref to thermic lance fuel and temperature, it's all too obvious that their greatest skill is jumping to premature and unexplored conclusions.

The collapse of the twin towers was entirely a function of their structural engineering. Imagine a large zipper opening from the top. Three floors - crashed and weakened by fire - create a slider of some 15 floors above. On every floor, the outer sheath is held in tension to the tower's core by steel floor joists beneath a concrete tray. As the "slider" hits the floors, the joists give and pull the sheath in after them. With every floor, the "slider's" weight and speed increases, pulling the next floor in and down before it. Very clean, and unforeseen, and emphatically not al-Qaeda's doing.

All of this seems pretty pointless due to a large number of variables involved, no matter what the theory, something is overlooked and the theory crashes faster than the WTC.
The only way to put it all to rest is to rebuild the towers (including #7) and bang them with airliners and see what happens.
However, some of the personally most persuasive evidence are testimonials from numerous rescuers, firemen, cops, staff, etc., who all reported huge explosions in the basement of the building(s), some prior to the overhead 'plane' hit.
After initially giving credence to their narrative, the media evidently got the orders from overseers and shut them down.
Much of this is available on internet but likewise ignored by those keen to make evidence fit the theory, which in this instance, is that under no circumstances was there anything other than 19 flying Arabs smacking into the towers, the US and Israel frozen in open mouthed awe.

More on buildings fall-down style ... in my limited experience, the objects that collapse in that visually arresting fashion pioneered by WTC cluster (why do I recall Scooter's reference to aspens?) are either in liquid or granular form, say, fountains squirting upwards or sand castles (I have personally observed both types of phenomena).
