Oh, does that bring back painful memories. My long, stringy, fly away blonde hair never behaved on picture day. So I have years of horrible looking school pics.
How horrible you ask? Put it this way: When my mom had her hysterectomy she was lying in bed recovering. She asked me to get her the box with all our old school photos. So I did. We oohed and aahed over my brother and sister's pictures. And then we found mine. My photos were so bad my mother actually busted a stitch laughing so hard.
My only revenge was I knew it hurt.
Now I make sure I am there on pic day so my kids don't bust any of my stitches in the future with their bad pictures...

Yup, I remember those black plastic combs.
And I love you son's reaction to being done!

My kids are EXACTLY the same way. Their idea of having their hair done is to "mess it up."
I have plenty of pictures from school pic day that one side of their collar is flipped up, hair is a mess and I would wonder "Where is the fluffer/comb lady?"
One pic of my youngest was SO bad that my oldest nicknamed it the "I ride the short bus" pic.
