Gravatar darn. how frustrating.

Just a thought-- do you think your son could have seasonal allergies since both the red-eye flareups were after he'd been at soccer, playing outside?

Mary

Gravatar I am still married to my son's father and I totally understand your frustration. You so got me when you wrote that you had "given up on the united front". Sometimes I feel exactly the same way.

Honestly? I don't think you are over-reacting. I'd have done the same thing. Especially with something that might require anti-biotics. Mary (above) might be right about it being allergies, but why risk it?

When my son was one week old I insisted we take him to the pediatrician for what my husband and mother (!!!) assured me was nothing more than diaper rash. They rolled their eyes at each other and agreed that all my concern was the effect of post-partum hormones. Turned out he had picked up a staph infection at the hospital where he was born. I cannot say how glad I am that I over-reacted to that.

I hope his eyes are fine today, for his sake. But even if they are, it's still smart to have them checked out. Just in case.

Gravatar It's an impossible situation and I understand it inside and out. It's hard to balance peace and health in this situation. We do what needs to be done, but it comes at a price.

Hang in there.

Gravatar Hugs. I hope the kiddo is doing better.

Gravatar Hey don't feel bad. This morning I went berserk at Luca in absentia because he had folded his clothes and put them away, but left mine out. All this AFTER I HAD DONE THE TAXES for us (it took 6 hours) over the weekend, which he had been promising for the last month he'd do. Some nerve. What we women go through to train our men! It's amazing that they can take care of themselves at all!

Gravatar Oh man oh man oh man -- I know exactly where you're coming from... (although I'll admit on my end I'm more likely to be playing defense to ward off unconstructive criticism) I HATE having to send my boy away for th weekend when he's sick (ESPECIALLY when he's sick); I don't LIKE it anytime...
