Yeppers -- if anything, I hoped against all hope that by splitting up when Z was so young, I could spare him those reconciliation fantasies...
Oh, he knows better -- but when his father & I are together in any sort of social setting (i.e. school event), he just GLOWS w/pride.

That really was touching. All kids want their parents to be together. It seems so easy to them when they are little. Too bad they have to grow up and learn that life just isn't that easy.
