I had to comment! I personally do not like nor eat okra, but today I fried it forever for one of my kids I mentor came over to wash clothes and get Sunday dinner and his favorite food is OKRA! And reading your post made me recognize the goodness of it...though I still will not eat it. But I will make an effort to find different ways to cook it for him because he deserves it and loves it!
Thanks for a great post.

Couldn't you blend the Okra oil with jojoba oil as that would prolong its shelf life (you could also add natural preservatives like Vitamin E or a couple of drops of Rosemary oil).

Hi Elly
You would need a synthetic preservative system to preserve this because remember it is a water and oil mix.
Water will create bacteria, yeast and mould when mixed with any other substance other than water.
Jojoba, Rosemary Oil, and Vitamin E are anti-oxidants NOT preservatives.
For more on how anti-oxidants work check out my website under the section ..Now for the Science..
