If your brains really do blow out your ears, do not poke them back in place with a sharp stick. It just leads to other problems.
Why, oh, why do you keep going near your mother? She's poison, and you don't need to hear her spewings. I agree with all the things ac said about you, that's why I keep dropping in. You have the potential to do amazing things with your qualities and talents. Don't let the naysayers get you down.
If le Hub chooses to wrap himself in anger, that's a shame but it's his problem. Where is it getting him? What is he doing to make progress in his life? Pointing the finger at others will get him nowhere. You deserve better than that, but you may have to find it on your own.
Hope for the best, and keep taking steps to get there! We love ya, and we know you can do it.

I have to agree with mike. Surely this has shown you that the problems with these folks have not been completely - perhaps even primarily - your fault.
I also have to agree with ac. You are funny and intelligent. You are a great writer. I am sure you will get all of this worked out to your satisfaction.

What can I say? People suck. I want to start my own town of all of us societal rejects? Wanna join?
Tough times indeed. And even tougher decisions to be made. But know that change comes from within.
If Le Hubster doesn't want to seek counseling and wants to live in misery, let him. It's his decision. You need to focus on yourself and the kids.
As for ending your dependency on Le Hubster...what ever happened with you going to college? It seemed like things were looking up for you and that you were on your way.
First, these are some very sad events and you being upset is warranted. However, as one who has spent many mornings on and off over the years In Kenya…that’s in Africa btw…watching the sun rise over the Indian ocean and romantically and thought provokingly set over the grassy and jungled expanse to the West, I tend to look at the Sunny Side of life.
Second, I like the whole Pastor idea and I may add it to my name. It is appropriate and it has a nice ring to it ya think:

One thing I leanred is that addicts can only attract other sick people. Doesn't change the situation, but helped me know it wasn't all me.
You know sweet pea, I still admire you for hanging in there with all the BS you have to go through. I still firmly believe that you will get through it all and be the person that you are...fabulous, intelligent, talented, beautiful, thoughtful and a good friend.
Please don't give up.
